FOR NORMAL USE IN THE PUBLIC AREAS:
KN95 masks can be constantly used for two to three days. The filtration efficiency remains above 95% after wearing KN95 mask for 2 days, and the respiratory resistance remains unchanged. 3 days of filtration efficiency is reduced to 94.7%.
In the absence of an adequate supply of masks, re-use may be considered if the equipment is not visibly dirty or damaged (such as creases or tears). For healthy people, the use of KN95 masks can be appropriately extended or repeated. To ensure that wearing and taking off the mask is pollution-free, put the mask in a sealed bag, and then in a clean, dry, pollution-free place.
FOR THE MEDICAL STAFF:
Once the protective devices are removed by the medical professionals, they need to be replaced if they re-enter the high-risk environment.
Replace immediately when the mask is contaminated by the patient’s blood, respiratory secretions or other bodily fluids. Replacement is also required after receiving highly suspected patients.
Try to choose the mask without vent valve – because the virus or pathogen can gather locally in the vent valve. To completely avoid coronavirus infection KN95 mask is recommended. KN95 masks are recommended to be worn for no more than four hours by the medical staff in a highly contagious environment.
